International Talent Conference in Lyngby
Youth Goodwill Ambassador Corps
The City of Knowledge is a partner at the International Talent Conference hosted by Copenhagen Capacity and COWI in Lyngby on Saturday April 2, 2016. More than 150 students from over 70 different countries from the ‘Youth Goodwill Ambassador’ programme have been handpicked to join the conference. The Youth Goodwill Ambassador Corps is working to promote Denmark as an attractive destination for studies and work.
Most international students wish to continue their career in Denmark after they have finished their education and contribute to the Danish society. At the same time, more and more companies and universities are looking for the most outstanding, international talents from all over the world. The conference provides a platform and a meeting ground for the international students, companies and organisations.
The programme for the day includes participation by His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark, who will be interviewed by journalist and TV2 news reporter Natasja Crone. Afterwards there will be lectures, workshops and a panel-debate with an executive lineup from Danish companies such as COWI, Microsoft, Maersk Line, Coloplast, Novo Nordisk and Grundfos.
In a world where the global war for talent intensifies, it is becoming increasingly more important for Danish companies to focus on ‘talent attraction’ and promoting Denmark as a career destination. International work force and talent development are therefore also important focus areas in the City of Knowledge and one of our goals. Managing director for the City of Knowledge Caroline Arends will also participating the conference. Caroline Arends contributed to the establishment of the Youth Goodwill Ambassador Corps in 2010, when she herself was a Copenhagen Goodwill Ambassador as a Dane living abroad.
