Become a mentor at Greater Copenhagen Career Program
– a mentoring program for international students in Denmark
The first round of the Greater Copenhagen Program is started with 34 committed mentors and mentees, and we are now looking for mentors for the second round, which starts in April 2021.
The partnership behind the program is looking for volunteer mentors who might want to help a student on their way to the Danish labor market. As a mentor, you commit to an ongoing dialogue and contact with a mentee over a period of six months. Relocare Group A/S and Nelleberg Potentialeudvikling are responsible for coaching and guiding all mentors throughout the course. Everyone can basically become a mentor and there is an opportunity to become part of an exciting network of other mentors.
Important dates in 2021:
- Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 15-16: Short online information meeting about the program (optional)
- Wednesday, April 14 at 9-15: Online kick off and workshop

About the Greater Copenhagen Career Program
The Greater Copenhagen Career Program consists of a 6-month mentoring and networking program for international students in Denmark, and includes both workshops on e.g. CV writing, use of LinkedIn and Danish corporate culture as well as an associated mentor part, where a volunteer mentor with the same professional background or personal match as the mentee guides and helps the student into the Danish labor market.
Together with Relocare Group A/S and Nelleberg Potentialeudvikling, Science City Lyngby will from November 2020 and four years onwards provide volunteer mentors for the Greater Copenhagen Career Program, which aims to retain international students in Denmark after graduation. The mentors are continuously offered workshops and tools over the 6 months that can contribute to the mentor being able to help his/her mentee in the best possible way.
The program has been implemented with great success over a number of years at the Copenhagen Business House, and Science City Lyngby and partners are enthusiastic about being able to contribute to more international students having a career in Denmark.
