Science Sisters: Local Allyship in STEM
How do we inspire and secure active allyship for girls and women in STEM?
Join the next Science Sisters network meeting August 25th and be part of a movement towards many more women with STEM careers. Meet four strong women from four different professions. Each ready to share their own experience, career journey and opinion on what is needed to engage more women.
You will meet four angles from different professions
- Maria Zoey Sommer, ass. Professor at Business Academy Copenhagen and studying an international master in Space Entrepreneurship
- Louise Jivan Shah, Senior R&D Manager at Topsoe
- Anna Danielak, Co-founder of Perfi Technologies (recently awarded the Women TechEU grant)
- Lise Hahne Jensen, Manager fra Novo Nordisk Engeneering
We will also facilitate a workshop drawing on Dr. Poornima Luthra’s seven ways towards more active allyship.
Date: Monday August 25th 5.00 pm to 7 pm
Adress: Lyngby Hovedgade 94, ground floor
Attendance is free, but you need to sign up here.
The video below is purely a snippet from the last networking meeting – May 5th.
Our idea is to expand this initiative by creating a network for women who want to be part of a new social community, built around inspiring meetings, mutual support, and learning from one another. This network will be a place to gain insight into life as a woman in STEM, explore career challenges and successes, meet role models, and become role models for each other.
The SCIENCE SISTERS Network is for all women in STEM – whether studying or already working in STEM fields. It is for those who want to be part of a new social community, where we can meet up, learn from each other, inspire each other and exchange experiences about work life, career growth, challenges, and achievements. It will also be a place to connect with role models and become role models for others.
