City Walk Lyngby-Taarbæk: SKT. HANS PICNIC
Join us for a city walk and get to know people and hidden gems! Once a month, we’ll take you for an hour’s walk in Lyngby-Taarbæk to explore and see what the city has to offer. This is a social get together to meet other people in your community and discover places that you may not know about.
Prepare your picnic basket to share and bring a blanket to the final episode of City Walks Part One. The event will start in Hamad’s garden in Charlottenlund with picnic and music. His house is located next to Ordrup Station.
Sankt Hans is a Christian holiday; however, it coincides with an ancient Pagan tradition, summer solstice, the longest day of the year. On this evening most Danes get together around a huge bonfire. Often by the sea.
Our recommendation would be to go to Bellevue Beach at 9 PM and enjoy the Danish midsummer party Sankt Hans.
