CITY WALKS: Lyngby Watermill
Join archivist Søren Stubkjær Egebo on a unique visit to the old watermill, ‘Lyngby Northern Mill’. We’ll investigate the old grain mill, in which grain was turned into flour for 400 years, and hear about the life of the miller by Mølleåen (The Mill-Creek). Hereafter we explore the area surrounding the mill, from where one can see many different examples of Kongens Lyngby’s historical periods and highlights.
One year ago, Søren showed us the beautiful Baroque-style residence Frieboeshvile, housing the Archive for Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality. Now, we’ll hear the story of another local historical gem – the Northern Watermill.
