Krüger – a local company with more that 20+ nationalities among their employees
Big survey among international s in Denmark shows content – but shorter stays in Denmark
The number of international employees in Denmark is at the highest number ever at more than 325.000. Unfortunately around 50% leave Denmark within five years
Gladsaxe Kommune, very close to Lyngby, is now the fifth largest business municipality in Denmark, surpassed only by the major cities like Copenhagen and Århus. The number of international employees in Denmark is at the highest number ever at more than 325.000. In Lyngby-Taarbæk Kommune many companies also have increasing numbers of international employees. Why is that? and how can we start improving the conditions and the social environment around international employees and their families and spouses?
According to the Expat Survey 2025 by Copenhagen Capacity, only about 50% of international citizens stay more than five years. The three most common reasons are:
👎 Lack of inclusion at work
👎 Difficulty in finding employment
👎 Challenge in making Danish friends
That is not good. We need to take action. Our morning-meetings: IINSIGHTS FOR BREAKFAST – a series of morning meetings where international employees, spouses and students meet in informal settings to meet, share knowledge and get updated insights.
We create the opportunity for internationals i Denmark to network with each other while be introduced to various businesses and organizations in Denmark as well as offer inspiring talks from international employees and their spouses who reside in Denmark and share their own experiences in Denmark, the culture, the people, the food, do’s and don’t’s and the job market.
Septembers meeting was at Krüger in Gladsaxe. The interesting talk by Theis Nikolaj Gadegaard at Krüger A/S gave immense insights into the company’s long history of developing innovative technologies to address climate challenges, contributing to an ecological transformation aiming constantly at reducing their carbon footprint.
Zoya Gupta shared her personal experiences coming from India to Denmark, looking for jobs, experiencing the Danish way of long hiring process. Ending up at Krüger, where she thrives in a fantastic team and with great company spirit and values that fit perfectly to her ❤️
