Green Transition

Within the topic of Green Transition we work to make local companies greener and more sustainable. The network aims to provide and share input and inspiration on how local companies can market and brand themselves on sustainability.

The purpose of the network is to gather professionals and the city’s stakeholders in a forum that enables us to discuss, share knowledge and exchange experiences as well as find green, sustainable solutions to specific problems and challenges in Lyngby. The network’s focus is primarily on green transformation in companies and sustainable collaborations across members.

The ambition is to make Lyngby-Taarbæk a development laboratory, where companies, municipalities, researchers, and utility companies collaborate to develop green solutions.

The network has focus on:

  • Preparing a project catalogue with excellent and realizable green solutions that are or can be implemented in companies in Science City Lyngby.
  • Sharing knowledge about issues concerning green transition and environmental sustainability – e.g. green accounting and CO2 calculation.
  • Strengthening Science City Lyngby and Lyngby’s green profile – for example by establishing a sustainability award for local green companies.
