Background

‘City Life in Lyngby’ is a partnership established in 2015 with the purpose of creating a number of cultural events and high-quality experiences in Lyngby.

Planned activities in 2016

  • Week 17: Science Day at DTU campus and at Lyngby City Library at the end of April
  • Autumn: Gourmet Days
  • September 3: City Festival
  • September 18: Celebrating the new academic year and the event ‘Biketown Showdown’
  • November 4: International Day with a focus on international activities and events

The City of Knwoledge is project lead on ‘Celebrating the new academic year’ as well as ‘International Day’. Furthermore the City of Knowledge participates in all of the task groups for each activity.

Purpose

The objective is to strengthen and support Lyngby’s position as a cultural and trade centre, as well as the city’s profile as a leading university town.
