Network for Urban Development
The network for Urban Development and Trade is focused on making Lyngby-Taarbæk an attractive university town with superb facilities that can attract and retain international as well as Danish professionals, scientists, students and their families.
The network has developed a set of ideas that Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality has drawn upon while creating their ambitious “Green Light”-strategy. The strategy aims to create a thriving university town with a vibrant city life, attractive housing, an exciting retail center, growing businesses and educational institutions, better transport systems and an environmentally-sustainable urban development.
The network also strives to develop ideas on how to improve the connection between the university campus and the city center. In relation hereto the future light rail will provide easy access to locations in Lyngby.
The network focuses on developing – among others:
- University town and urban life
- Urban space
