Network on traffic and mobility

Network on traffic and mobility as shared platform

With the riveting development in Lyngby and in connection with the establishment of the light rail along highway ‘O3’ in the period 2016-202, there is an increased need for innovative thinking and increased focus on traffic, mobility and accessibility.

The City of Knowledge has therefore established a project-network in collaboration with the regional project ‘Smart Mobility in Loop City’. The network ‘Traffic in the City of Knowledge’  consists of several organisations, educational institutions, retail industry and the municipality, who will collaborate on solutions and opportunities within effective and green mobility prior, during and after the establishment of the light rail. The network is scheduled to meet four times annually and will act as a shared platform for collaboration, inspiration, improvement of infrastructure and testing of new solutions.

The network is furthermore supported by an extensive mobility survey which Movia is conducting for organisations along highway ‘O3’ for those of which who wants to participate. A number of organisations in Lyngby has already participated in the surveys, among others: Cphbusiness, DTU, Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, Maersk Drilling, Magasin, Microsoft and Nordea.

The first meeting was held on October 11, 2016, where member organisation Aquaporin hosted the network. The next meeting will take place before Christmas.
